Since starting my career in 2014, I have made significant contributions to the paralegal community, particularly through my service on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Paralegal Association. I have served for 11 years as a chairperson for several sections and as the Association’s President from 2020-2024, furthering my commitment to advancing the paralegal profession.
Throughout my career, I have explored various areas of law, including foreclosure, estates and trusts and corporate law, before finding my true passion in litigation where I spent six years working both plaintiff and defense sides of the isle, working in general litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury and employment law.
In 2023, I was presented with a unique, fully-remote opportunity, making the transition to a claims position in insurance risk management for a national hospital system. This role highlighted my exceptional skills and ability to thrive in diverse legal environments. I currently oversee claims in general litigation, medical malpractice and employment law for ministries (hospitals) in Iowa, Illinois, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida. In this position, I not only review and evaluate claims brought by individuals, but also monitors the work provided by her company's panel counsel retained to represent the company in litigated matters.
Today, I continue to be a passionate advocate for the paralegal profession by using my diverse experiences to inspire and mentor others in the field. I have always found myself as the "go-to" person for technology, sharing my knowledge with my colleagues in the office and I'm taking to the internet and social media sharing my thoughts, providing timesaving tips and tricks, as well as sharing some of my favorite products I can't live without.
In a new development, I have also obtained my Remote Online Notary commission and I'm looking forward to providing my services to the public.
